The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has reiterated its commitment to protect genuine businesses from unfair competition by purveyors of substandard and life endangering products.

The DG promised to lead a standards advocacy visit to the Lagos International Trade Fair complex before the end of the year and urged the associations to take optimal advantage of the gesture.
Mr. Aboloma enumerated the expanded powers granted SON under Act 14 of 2015 to remove suspected substandard products from circulation and prosecute offenders after due process of standards verification.
